Kia Ora,
I am Karen Holleron, one of the Deputy Principals here at Helensville School. I am now in my fourth year at the school and I love being part of such a welcoming and inclusive whānau.
I moved from the UK, 14 years ago with my family and have never looked back. I love everything about life here in New Zealand and on the beautiful Hibiscus Coast, where I live. I have two wonderful daughters; Cerys who is 24 and 20 year old, Anais and I am also lucky enough to have my mum living with me, who very quickly followed us from the UK.
I joined the teaching profession later in life after spending fifteen years working in hospitality. Since moving to New Zealand I have taught in all year groups in several schools, mainly on the Hibiscus Coast, before moving to Helensville in 2020 as Assistant Principal.
I believe that relationships are key in all that we do: be that with the children, in our amazing community or our local environment. I look forward to strengthening and building on these relationships during my time at Helensville School.
