Ey up!
My name is Anwar and I am excited to be joining Helensville Primary this year and continuing my teaching journey. Over the last 8 years, I taught at Rosebank Primary School, where I taught across different year levels along with leadership responsibilities.
Prior to teaching in Aotearoa I was born and bred in a small town called Batley in West Yorkshire, England. Here I trained as a higher education teacher working at two of the largest colleges in the UK.
In my spare time I enjoy a few hobbies like cycling, running, football, reading, music and I love travelling and exploring.
In the classroom I bring with me an approach which is inclusive of all and techniques that harness each individuals strengths, maximising their learning opportunity.
My classroom door is always open and I encourage everyone to pop in. The beauty about teaching is that no two days are the same and every day brings something new and that's what I also enjoy bringing into my teaching: a fresh style that ensures the children can enjoy and learn at the same time.
