Welcome back to Sport 2023.  Here are a few dates and information you need to know for Term 4. 

Athletics

This term’s physical education lessons will emphasise the fundamentals of running, jumping and throwing through the avenue of athletics.  Classes will have weekly lessons learning the skills and techniques. The culmination of this learning will be our HPS Athletics Day for Years 3-8, held at Rautawhiri Park on Tuesday 7th November. The Kowhai Team will hold their own day near the end of the term. 

Touch

Our school will enter teams into the Kaipara Junior Touch module held at Helensville Rugby Club for Years 0-8 every Friday, starting on 27th October.  All teams play every Friday, with the midgets starting at 3:30pm and the final round is the Seniors at 5:00pm.  

Important dates to note are:

Friday 27th October:    Season starts

Friday 15th December: Last game and prize giving for the season

Kaipara Sports & North West (NW) Sports Association Day

Our school is part of the Kaipara Schools Sports Cluster and the North West Schools.  This provides our students with opportunities to compete at a higher level to improve their skills, try new sports and create links with students from our area.  The Kaipara Sports Days cater for Year 5-8 students and the North West Sports Days are primarily for intermediate students.
